Details: I was diagnosed with Rosacea about 15 years ago. I was given various creams by my doctor none of which did any good. Eventually I was prescribed Minocycline and Metrogel, The minocycline helped to a certain extent but the cream made my skin very dry and scaly so much so that I could only use it at night when no-one could see me. At certain times of the month it was worse and if I drank alcohol, ate spicy foods or citris fruit. Over the years I also tried various pills potions and creams recommended by homeopaths and the like all to no avail. In September 06 I was introduced to Aloe Vera Gel. Being extremely sceptical I was not at all convinced it would do any good. I drank 1oz every day, and continued to take the antibiotic. Christmas that year I went to stay with my family for a few days, but I forgot to take my medication. If I missed my medication even for one day I would have a major flare up, I was there for 4 days and no flare up, whats more I was drinking a fair amount of alcohol, eating spicy food and citris fruit and not a sign of a spot. I have not taken any medication since then but continue to drink the gel every day. I can eat and drink anything I like without any problem. Occasionally I a lump on my chin and I apply some Aloe vera gelly at night and in the morning it has gone. The redness and the flushing have also dramatically improved. I would not say I am cured but I am thrilled with improvement.
