As a man I found little to no sympathy from dermatologist and my Primary Care doctor. I was given Metro Gel which destroyed my skin and made it look horrible. I found out about IPL and was concerned it was a gimmick at first. I took a treatment of whole face at first with a plan to perform 5 treatments over a 6 month period. I was also told to avoid sun and use sunscreen. This was 5 years ago when the technology was newer. I have not used any medication since my initial treatments and have been flush free ever since. I do go in for follow ups a couple times a year and couldnt be happier. Not only is my skin red free but I look ten years younger. I will be turning 43 soon and amazed when people are shocked thinking I am 30. Its a good feeling to not worry about the redness and breakouts. My advice if you have Rosacea get this treatment and hang in there the results will happen.
