The local docs ,after telling me it was all in my head, agreed I had rosacea and insisted on giving me antibiotics and thick gunky creams which blocked my pores.I was in my early 50s and used to have lovely skin. I couldn't even tolerate water on my face it burnt so much.I ate only cold bland food could not exercise, wine was a definate no no and the sunny hols my husband and I had promised ourselves were out.I was spoiling our lives or so I thought My self esteem was round my ankles and i became very withdrawn. IT WAS VERY SCAREY making an appointment with Dr P but I was desperate. It was the best thing i ever did!
