Rosacea / flushing / facial redness treatment report from: Miss P Townsend Would they recommend this: Yes TreatmentType: Photoderm, view reports of all Photoderm treatments Details: Over thelast 10 years Inoticed a steady increase in the redness of my face and worse lots of red veins all over my nose & cheeks. For several years make-up worked but for the last 2 sadly this was not the case. I became paranoid and lost an awful lot of confidence in facing people. I could not look at people in case they saw what horrified me in the mirror. I wanted my life back - action was now needed. I had looked at the Centre website prior to my visit and had established that if possible the IPL treatment would be best. I visited Dr Patterson for a consultation who I can only say is a marvel he makes you feel at ease directly you enter the Centre. I had to have my make-up removed - ugh horrifying to-but of course you cannot expect diagnosis with it on!! Dr Patterson thought me a good candidate for IPL and we decided to start my first treatment. I have to say it smarted! but hey if it helped me - I more than welcomed it.. 45 minutes later and Dr Patterson explained that I had bruise marks where the worst of my veins were. I could notice an improvement in my skin straight away and even thgough bruised and swollen marvelling in the mirror upon my return home. The bruising and swelling only last a couple of days. I booked my next appointment for 3 weeks ahead - I had much less bruising - again my skin colour and veins improved. 28th March was my last IPL - no bruising whatsoever and light swelling. I have been out in public with nothing other than my own skin - I cannot thank Dr Patterson enough - he has given me my life back. I will be having another two treatments so will keep you posted. I would highly recommend Dr Patterson and the Woodford Medical Centre. The centre itself has a wonderfully calming aura about it and the staff are really warm and friendly. I can assure you that I believe miracles can happen happens - and this is the place you can get them!!
