Positive story from Anna

Always nice to read:

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/rosacea-support/message/73380

"Last evening, for the first time in YEARS, I had a meeting with several people and I did not flush AT ALL. Can you imagine? Half way [through] the evening I went to the toilet and looked in the mirror: pale face! I am not used yet to not having a burning face. It's weird. But sooo nice."

Guaifenesin as a rosacea treatment?

Some discussion on ESFBChannel.com about Guaifenesin

Couple of people are reporting good results. Bit of an odd one, it's a medication to thin the mucous.

Tread with caution but maybe worth investigating more.

Quote:

"Anyway after reading a testimonial about rosacea on the main ESFB site, I decided to try this Guaifenesin stuff. I've taken a 600mg tablet of it twice a day until now, and the difference between today and Saturday is beyond amazing. I have never had my face with such little redness like this since I was a little kid. It's absolutely uncanny, I just want to scream or something, it's so awesome."

It is also being used in some fibroyalia protocols. Again, could be quackery.

Epitan cancels plans to float on AIM

Mainly because of the fall in their shares on the Australian Stock Exchange.

They are keeping on trucking just exploring other options for future funding.

Lidocaine Toxicity

From the dermatology times.

Quote:

Lidocaine toxicity associated with use of topical anesthetic creams in patients undergoing laser procedures is a major concern that dermatologic surgeons need to be aware of, said Roy G. Geronemus, M.D., speaking in a surgical symposium on "When Bad Things Happen to Good Surgeons."
