Niacin flushing for photoderm treatment of rosacea
Warren on rosacea-support has posted some information and pictures on flushing with Niacin for rosacea sufferers.
Flushing before treatment with any kind of laser (IPL / photoderm / v-beam) is thought by some to be important in ensuring good results, and used by many of the Photofacial doctors (Bitter Sr. trained).
I've tried both niacin and sublingual spray. The niacin induced a powerful flush (including neck, arms, chest as well as face) but was quite uncomfortable and not long-lasting. The sublingual spray (Nitrolingual) for me did not induce a flush.
